The Chattanooga Civi-tan Club is entertaining the Appalachian District of Civitan International three day convention. George F. Hull of Chattanooga, administrative office for the TVA, was installed as governor of the Appalachian District.

Sunday, May 7

Chattanooga’s newest medical and most modern facility, the Pediatric Clinic at 4507 Brainerd Road, operated by Dr. William E. Van Order, Dr. Joseph La Vecchia and Dr. Stewart P. Smith, three of Chattanooga’s leading pediatricians, was open for public inspection Sunday afternoon.

Monday, May 8

A residential subdivision near Chickamauga Lake to be known as Lakeshore Heights, with 150 modern homes in the $18,000 to $20,000 price range is being developed by Ferger Development Company, Herman Ferger III, president of the company, announced.

Tuesday, May 9

The campaign of volunteer citizens, from all walks of life, to transform Chattanooga into a “city of flags” – one on every home for patriotic holidays – is speeding up locally and spreading to other sections of the nation.
