LeBron Keith who has been a member of Hotel Patten’s service staff for 34 years has been selected as 1960 “Bellman of the Year” of the entire United States. The Chattanooga native was elected for the honor from more than 100 nominees by Sigma Iota Fraternity of Washington University Society of Innkeepers headquartered in Pullman, Wash.
Tuesday, December 27
Earl E. Trundle was honored Tuesday for his continuous service with the W. C. Teas Company for the past 40 years. Herbert Hail, Sr., president of the company paid tribute to Trundle’s long and valuable service.
Wednesday, December 28
The Crisman Hardware Company, Chattanooga’s oldest store in its field, and Ace Hardware Company, the city’s youngest, will merge to become Crisman-Ace Hardware Company and will occupy the modern Ace quarters at 116-118 North Market Street. The announcement was made by Bryan A. Crisman, John F. Crisman, partners in Crisman Hardware and Hugh Abercrombie president of the Ace organization.
