‘The General’ closes out real estate career
Schwarzkopf, colleagues look back on her 40 years in business

When RE/MAX Realtor Nikki Schwarzkopf announced her retirement after nearly 40 years in real estate, her phone “exploded,” she says.

“It was unbelievable. People said, ‘I can’t believe you’re retiring,’ and ‘Congratulations,’ and ‘I’ve enjoyed worked with you all these years.’ It blew me away.”

Headstrong Kennedy forges own path, thankful for guidance

Chloe Kennedy was enjoying the benefits of a soccer scholarship – if not the game of soccer itself – while attending Jacksonville State University in Alabama when she decided the frequent hits to her head were jeopardizing her future.

“I thought I should reduce my head trauma if I wanted to work as a professional one day,” Kennedy, a native of Albertville, Alabama, laughs.

Rescue 82 planning 4th relief mission

After completing its third relief mission in March, volunteers from Rescue 82 are traveling back to war-torn areas of Ukraine for the organization’s fourth relief mission this week.

Briefs: Preserve Chattanooga completes fund study

Preserve Chattanooga has completed a feasibility study for establishing a historic preservation revolving fund in Chattanooga. The study, completed by Hanbury Preservation Consulting of Raleigh, North Carolina, was made possible with the support of the 1772 Foundation.

The Tennessee softball team celebrated as the confetti rained down at Bogle Park in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Lady Vols hoisted the SEC tournament championship trophy while proudly wearing their championship hats and T-shirts.

Yet, Tennessee made sure of one point: They may have swept the SEC regular-season and tournament titles for the first time in program history, but their ambitions are bigger.


Local owners acquire Valleybrook Golf and Country Club

Chattanooga-based commercial real estate development group Urban Story Ventures has acquired Valleybrook Golf and Country Club from Luken Holdings.
