When RE/MAX Realtor Nikki Schwarzkopf announced her retirement after nearly 40 years in real estate, her phone “exploded,” she says.

“It was unbelievable. People said, ‘I can’t believe you’re retiring,’ and ‘Congratulations,’ and ‘I’ve enjoyed worked with you all these years.’ It blew me away.”

Chloe Kennedy was enjoying the benefits of a soccer scholarship – if not the game of soccer itself – while attending Jacksonville State University in Alabama when she decided the frequent hits to her head were jeopardizing her future.

“I thought I should reduce my head trauma if I wanted to work as a professional one day,” Kennedy, a native of Albertville, Alabama, laughs.

Preserve Chattanooga has completed a feasibility study for establishing a historic preservation revolving fund in Chattanooga. The study, completed by Hanbury Preservation Consulting of Raleigh, North Carolina, was made possible with the support of the 1772 Foundation.
