2018 Compass Award goes to Baker Donelson

Baker Donelson has been recognized by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity as a 2018 Compass Award winner. The award honors LCLD members who demonstrate their continued commitment to building more diverse organizations and a more inclusive legal profession through their participation in and support of LCLD’s mission and programs.

“The LCLD plays an important role in helping to ensure the legal industry is more diverse and inclusive,” says Rusty Gray, shareholder at the firm’s Chattanooga office. “Baker Donelson is proud to support the LCLD and its efforts as part of our firm’s commitment to achieving meaningful progress toward greater inclusion of diverse legal talent.”

As an active member of the LCLD, Baker Donelson’s involvement in the organization includes attendance at its annual meeting and participation in its Fellows Program, Pathfinder Program, 1L Scholars Program, Success in Law School Mentoring Program and Pipeline Program.

Founded in 2009, the LCLD has grown to an organization of more than 300 members, who serve as either general counsel of major corporations or managing partners of the nation’s leading law firms.
