Newsmakers: CHI Memorial welcomes Nguyen




Kim Nguyen, M.D., has joined Heinsohn, Donowitz, Rybolt and Nguyen at CHI Memorial Medical Group.

Nguyen earned her medical degree from University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California. She has previously worked at U.S. Naval Hospitals in Bremerton, Washington, and Okinawa, Japan. The practice is located in the CHI Memorial Medical Plaza building at 605 Glenwood Drive in Chattanooga. More information: 423 629-7220.

Whiting joins Austin Hatcher Foundation

Catharine Whiting, a licensed clinical social worker with extensive experience in the Chattanooga area, has joined the staff at the Chattanooga-based Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer.

Whiting, a Michigan native and a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (2010) and Southern Adventist University in Collegedale (master of social work, 2013), previously worked at the Southeast Center of Excellence in Chattanooga, where she has served as senior clinical case manager since the summer of 2015.

Previously, Whiting was a research consultant at the Center for Counseling at UT-Chattanooga and a clinical child and adolescent therapist at the Centerstone community health organization in Chattanooga.

Whiting will work out of Austin Hatcher’s Educational Advancement Center in downtown Chattanooga.

Waterhouse adds designer for digital

Waterhouse Public Relations is expanding its digital team with the addition of Sydnee Wisler, an artistic designer who has refined her craft across a variety of industries. In her role as digital coordinator, Wisler will develop and execute digital projects for Waterhouse and its clients.

Wisler has played integral roles in brand development, content creation and special event planning for a diverse range of companies including minor league baseball, ministry and real estate.

Wisler, an Atlanta native, holds a degree in public relations and marketing from Samford University in Birmingham.
