Realty Center hosts awards breakfast

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Realty Center, the largest locally owned brokerage, has announced the winners of its 2016 sales awards Feb. 22 at the Chattanooga Golf and Country Club. These top Realtors and Realtor teams earned the highest marks both for Realty Center and for the international network of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices.

Ben Kelly, CEO, and Karen Kelly, vice president, also announced that their son, Byron Kelly, has been promoted to president of the five-office firm, which is headquartered in downtown Chattanooga.

Linda Brock of Realty Center’s East Brainerd office was designated Top Agent. Berkshire Hathaway honored Brock with the Chairman’s Diamond designation, meaning she was among the top one-half of one percent of the network’s agents.

Brock has closed nearly $700 million dollars worth of business since she became a Realtor in the mid 1990’s. “She has the highest average sales price of any member of the local MLS over that time period, demonstrating her mastery of the high end market in Chattanooga,” said Byron.

The Edrington Team was named Top Team. This family-centered team also earned the Chairman’s Diamond designation from Berkshire Hathaway. The Edrington Team represented clients on 445 properties sold in 2016 – more than any other team or individual in the Chattanooga MLS.

The Edrington Team will be honored with a ten-year Legend award and a spot in the national Top 10 Teams at the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Convention in Phoenix next month.

The Lawrence Team of Realty Center’s Signal Mountain office placed second among the company’s teams. The Lawrence Team received the Chairman’s Diamond designation from Berkshire Hathaway.

Diane Burke of Realty Center’s East Brainerd office placed third among the company’s agents. Berkshire Hathaway honored her with the President’s Circle designation, meaning she was among the top three percent of the company’s agents in terms of production.

Team Travis Close of Realty Center’s Signal Mountain office placed third among the company’s teams. Team Close received the Chairman’s Circle Gold designation from Berkshire Hathaway.

Over 75 of the firm’s 170 Realtor agents were inducted into Berkshire Hathaway’s Elite Circle sales group in 2016. This is the largest such cohort in over a decade. In addition, the firm is in the company’s Elite Circle, which represents the top 50 firms in the United States.

Byron said he is proud to call the top professionals his firm family. “Our affiliation with the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices network is a perfect fit for the top performers at Realty Center and an inspiration for our new agents,” he said. “Our Realtors have consistently proven their value and skill over years of selling homes for Chattanoogans.”
