Ozburn is new CEO of Parkridge Health System

Thomas H. Ozburn, chief executive officer of TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center, an HCA facility in Nashville, has been named CEO of HCA’s five-hospital Parkridge Health System in Chattanooga, effective Feb. 1.

As CEO of Parkridge Health, Ozburn will also serve as CEO of Parkridge Medical Center and be responsible for operations at Parkridge West Hospital, Parkridge East Hospital, Parkridge Valley Adult & Senior Campus and Parkridge Valley Child & Adolescent Campus.

A native of Chattanooga, Ozburn brings 16 years of executive health care leadership to his new role. Since joining TriStar Southern Hills in 2007, Ozburn’s focus on enhanced patient safety and improved patient outcomes led to the facility achieving Leap Frog Group Patient Safety “A” Rating in 2015 and 2016, and The Joint Commission’s Top Performer on Key Quality Measures® in 2014 and 2015. He oversaw increased patient demand for surgical and emergency services, expansion of inpatient rehabilitation and orthopedic services with the addition of a 20-bed boutique Joint and Spine Center, and enhanced access to services with the addition of two community-based medical health parks for provider and imaging services.

Prior to TriStar Southern Hills, Ozburn served as chief operating officer in TriStar Summit and TriStar Greenview medical centers, sister TriStar Health facilities in Hermitage, Tennessee, and Bowling Green, Kentucky, respectively, and worked in operations with HCA Physician Services Group. Active in the community, Ozburn served as a board member for organizations including Tennessee Hospital Association, Healthcare Executives Forum of Middle Tennessee, Nashville Zoo, Men of Valor, Tennessee Christian Chamber of Commerce, YMCA of Middle Tennessee and Soles4Souls. 

Ozburn holds a degree in health care management from The University of Alabama, a master of health administration from The University of Memphis College of Health Sciences and an MBA from The University of Memphis. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
