Chattanooga Realtors brought the gift of song to Life Care Center of Red Bank last week during the seventh annual Holiday Nursing Home Visit.

Agents with Keller Williams, Berkshire Hathaway, Signature Brokers and Remax Properties strolled the corridors of Life Care singing Christmas carols and talking with the residents.

Several local companies and individuals also donated hundreds of dollars’ worth of toiletries, which the Life Care staff will place in gift bags and give to the residents on Christmas day.

The yearly event is the brainchild of Realtor Janet Henninger. In 2010, Henninger and a group of family members and friends visited a relative in a nursing home during the holiday season. Henninger was inspired to organize the annual event at Life Care when she saw that her relative’s roommate had no guests.

“I enjoy getting together with friends and spreading joy at Life Care each year,” Henninger said. “We love them and we love giving back.”

Carolers this year included Tracey Rickman, Kiwana Morrow, Tammy Dale, Dave Johnson, Mac Hedges, Scott Henninger, Janet Henninger, Karen Austin, Taylor Rogers, Tyler Rogers, Jacque Lyons, Vicky Godwin, Sonja Millard, Saundra Newman, Phyllis James, Richard Smith, Sally McNulty, Libby Dixon and Chad Lee.

Donors included First Title Insurance, HSA Home Warranty, Sierra Pacific Mortgage, Jay and Carol Craig, Steve and Vickie Champion, Scott and Janet Henninger, residents of the Lookout Highlands subdivision, Johnny White, Sandy Hardin, Kathryn Hill, Morrow, Millard, Austin, McNulty, Godwin, Newman, Johnson, Hedges, Lyons, James and Rickman.
