Five Chattanooga Realtors are included in a new ranking report that identifies the most productive real estate agents in the nation. Robert Backer of Coldwell Banker Pryor Realty, Mike Chauncey of RE/MAX Real Estate Center Plus, Geoff Ramsey of RE/MAX Properties, Nathan Torgerson of The Torgerson Team at Keller Williams Realty, and William Weathers of RE/MAX Properties are listed in “America’s Best Real Estate Agents,” a ranking report produced by REAL Trends and sponsored by Zillow Group.

“America’s Best Real Estate Agents” ranks over 12,000 residential real estate professionals based solely on sales during calendar year 2015. All production numbers were independently verified by a third-party, REAL Trends said in a press release. This group of real estate sales agents represents less than 1 percent of all real estate practitioners in the U.S.

In Tennessee, Ramsey is ranked No. 14, Chauney is ranked No. 60, Backer No. 63, Torgerson No. 68, and Weathers No. 102.

Individual real estate professionals are ranked in two categories: individual agent – sales volume and individual agent – transaction sides. To qualify for inclusion, an individual agent must have closed at least 50 transaction sides or $20 million in sales volume in 2015.

“The average residential real estate agent in the United States closed fewer than eight transactions in 2015 and had less than $1.5 million in sales,” said Steve Murray, president of REAL Trends. “To say that these agents are exceptional sales professionals is an understatement. To attain this level of sales is outstanding.”

Torgerson said he’s pleased and honored to be ranked among the country’s top residential real estate agents. “It represents the time and effort we put into each client we serve, and how much work it takes to build a successful real estate career,” he said. “The level of sales it takes to qualify makes it a truly special recognition.”
