Travis McDonough is officially a federal judge for the Eastern District of Tennessee following his investiture ceremony last week.

Held Friday, May 20, the occasion drew judges, politicians, and a large crowd to the Chattanooga Theatre Centre.

Judge McDonough is a former attorney with Miller & Martin and Mayor Andy Berke’s ex-chief of staff.

President Obama nominated McDonough for the position in November 2014; the U.S. Senate unanimously confirmed McDonough in December 2015.

McDonough assumes the seat Judge Curtis Collier vacated when he took senior status in October 2014.
