Two Bar Association members join Leadership Chattanooga class

The Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the members of its 2015-2016 Leadership Chattanooga class. Included are two members of the Chattanooga Bar Association: Charles Flynn of Berke, Berke & Berke and April Holland of Miller & Martin.

Sponsored by the Chattanooga Chamber Foundation, Leadership Chattanooga is a 10-month program that brings professionals throughout the city together to cultivate leadership and community growth. Class begins in August with an orientation and two day retreat, followed by monthly sessions from September to May addressing aspects of leadership and community challenges.

Participants also divide into small groups to complete projects addressing community needs. These projects allow participants to explore local issues and interact with community leaders as they work together toward common goals.

Holland said she’s thrilled to be a part of this year’s Leadership Chattanooga class. “As a fairly recent Chattanooga transplant, I’m consistently amazed by the exciting things happening in this city,” she said. “I’m very pleased to be able to call Chattanooga my home, and I’m eager to be more involved with our city’s growth. Leadership Chattanooga will provide me with an incredible opportunity to learn and work alongside like-minded people.”

“We have another exceptional group of emerging leaders representing a cross-section of the community,” said Diane Parks, director of leadership and community development at the Chattanooga Chamber. “We are confident they will make significant contributions to Chattanooga in the years ahead.”
