Annual Palate 2 Palette

The Craniofacial Foundation of America (CFA) will host its 8th Annual Palate 2 Palette event on Saturday, April 25. The event will begin at 5 p.m. with the Gallery Stroll. The Bubbles and Sweets after party will take place at Track 29 from 8 to 10 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit the CFA, a non-profit organization that supports the work of the Tennessee Craniofacial Center at Children’s Hospital at Erlanger and Erlanger Health System. A Night to Remember

This year’s Night to Remember is scheduled to take place Saturday, April 25 at 8 p.m. at the Chattanooga Trade and Convention Center. Grammy nominated singer and songwriter Ledisi is scheduled to headline the show, which will also feature singer Leela James and singer and songwriter Raheem DeVaughn. In 27 years, A Night to Remember has raised over $4 million for various organizations that support Chattanooga’s youth. Nearly-Wed Adventure

First Things First will host the Nearly-Wed Adventure on Saturday, April 25 at Hidden Hollow Resort in Chickamauga, Ga., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

The event is designed to help couples who are engaged or seriously dating address the issues many newlyweds face in their relationship such as communicating effectively; expectations for marriage, finances, work, children, and in-laws; and managing disagreements. The Nearly-Wed Adventure is offered at no cost. Lunch and materials are provided but couples must pre-register online at firstthings.org or by calling First Things First at (423) 267-5383.

Celebrations at the Jewish Cultural Center

 

The Jewish Federation of Greater Chattanooga will host two events in April. Yom HaZikaron (Israel Memorial Day) will take place Saturday, April 25 at 9:15 p.m. Yom HaZikaron honors Israel’s fallen soldiers and victims of terrorism. This year, 13 young Jewish leaders will tell the stories of soldiers and victims through readings and songs created in Israel by well-known musicians. Attendees are asked to wear white shirts. There is no cost to attend. Yom Ha’Atzmaut (Israel Independence Day) will take place Sunday, April 26 at 6 p.m. The Federation has invited former Israel Defense Force band members to perform Hebrew and English songs in a night club-style atmosphere for adults 21 years and older. Dinner will be served. The cost to attend is $18. Attendees are asked to dress in blue and white. Both events will be held at the Jewish Cultural Center, located at 5461 North Terrace Road in Chattanooga.
