Miller & Martin announces newest firm members

The Chattanooga office of Miller & Martin last week announced the appointment of its newest members.

Ellis Lord is a member of the Litigation Department at Miller & Martin. He focuses much of his practice on civil litigation matters, with an emphasis on healthcare litigation, including physician credentialing and peer review issues. He also works with clients on litigation matters involving commercial banking, lending, real estate, and construction. Lord was selected to the 2015 Tennessee Bar Association Leadership Class, serves on several local boards and committees, and is an active member in Red Bank Baptist Church.

Jimar A. Sanders, a graduate from The University of Georgia School of Law, is a member of the firm’s Commercial Department, concentrating his practice in the areas of Commercial Finance, Real Estate, and Tax Incentives. He is ranked as a Mid-South Super Lawyer Rising Star and was named to the Lawyers of Color Inaugural Hot List (Southern Region), a group of select minority attorneys who are in the early to mid-stages of their career and excelling in the legal profession. Sanders served on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Chattanooga, the Interfaith Hospitality Network, and currently sits on the Board of Directors for the River City Company.

“Throughout their careers, these attorneys have demonstrated the skill-set and knowledge we expect of our members, as well as a strong commitment to service – both to our clients and community,” said firm Chairman Jim Haley.
