Nominees sought for Chattanooga Area Young Woman of Distinction

The American Lung Association in Tennessee is asking for the community’s help in nominating outstanding young women for the 2015 Young Women of Distinction award.

The Young Woman of Distinction is a high school senior who sets herself apart as an individual outstanding in leadership, academics, and character. She serves the Chattanooga area with honor, integrity, enthusiasm, generosity, and compassion, and has a willingness to take risks and a personal dedication to goal achievement.

The 29th Annual Women of Distinction Awards Luncheon will be held on Friday, April 30 from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Chattanooga Convention Center Ballroom. The event honors one Tennessee Woman of Distinction plus 12 of the Chattanooga area’s most accomplished women who have distinguished themselves within their family, career, and community.

This year, five Young Women of Distinction will also be honored.

Nomination forms are available in the Chattanooga office by calling (423) 629-1098 or can be downloaded from the American Lung Association in Tennessee’s website at www.alatn.org or Facebook.

Nominations are due Monday, Feb. 2, 2015. They can be faxed to (423) 629-0054, mailed to “American Lung Association in Tennessee, 1466 Riverside Dr., Suite D, Chattanooga TN 37406,” or e-mailed to scudabac@midlandlung.org.
