Featuring local craft beers and brews from around the globe, World of Beer and owners Wayne Farmer and Frank Hudson last week celebrated the opening of the franchise’s newest tavern at 412 Market Street in downtown Chattanooga. This is the third tavern for Farmer and Hudson, and the first in Tennessee.

The 6,400-square-foot tavern features over 500 bottles and 60 rotating taps.

WOB rotates taps daily so guests can discover something new every visit. Spirit cocktails, ciders, and wine along with non-alcoholic beverages are also available. In addition, WOB offers appetizers, sandwiches, and main plates, such as Giant Bavarian Pretzels and Chicken & Waffles, to complement the different styles of beer on hand.

The staff at WOB has completed a two-week beer school, and will be on-hand tonight to guide guests through the global menu.

Happy Hour at WOB-Chattanooga is hosted Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Loyalty Night is every Tuesday, which offers Loyalty Club members 25 percent off all bottles with their loyalty card. Guests can also listen to live music Thursday through Saturday nights. In addition, WOB-Chattanooga will host featured brewery nights, spotlights, and tap takeovers, along with holiday-themed events celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, Cinco de Mayo, WOBtoberfest and more.

Since co-founders Scott Zepp and Matt LaFon opened their first tavern in Tampa, Fla., in 2007, WOB has grown to 60 locations in 19 states.

WOB-Chattanooga will be open from 11 a.m until 1 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday and 11 a.m. until 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.
