On Saturday, Sept. 27 at 10 a.m. at AT&T Field, the Chattanooga Down Syndrome Society will welcome Rachel Coleman from the Signing Time DVD series for their biggest fundraising event of the year.

Coleman, who is responsible for helping thousands of children learn sign language during their infant and toddler years, will help kick off the annual Buddy Walk.

Every year, the CDSS welcomes thousands of individuals with Down syndrome, their loved ones, and supporters to walk and raise awareness of the possibilities that are available to those living with DS today. Coleman and her sidekick, Hopkins, will perform before the walk and then meet with participants. A short walk beginning on Power Alley will lead dozens of teams back to AT&T Field where food and festivities will be waiting.

Before the walk, supporters are encouraged to form teams and get their families and friends involved in the fundraising effort. Find or register your team at www.ds-stride.org/chattanoogabuddywalk. Money raised from fundraising efforts stays in the greater Chattanooga community to provide grants, scholarships, and events for those with DS in our area.
