Local attorney George G. Hixson recently joined the law firm of Duncan, Hatcher, Hixson & Fleenor after working as counsel for several years with a local developer.

Hixson is licensed to practice law in Tennessee and has been practicing in Chattanooga for 22 years.  He is a graduate of the Baylor School, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and the University of Memphis Cecil C. Hixson focuses his practice in the areas of commercial, retail, and residential real estate; acquisitions; financing; development and construction; leasing and sales; general business law; and estate planning. He’s licensed to practice in the State of Tennessee and is a member of both the Tennessee Bar Association and the Chattanooga Bar Association. He’s also professionally affiliated with the International Council of Shopping Centers. Hixson lives in North Chattanooga and is an active member at St. Elmo United Methodist Church.

Principals in the firm are B. Paul Hatcher, Everett L. (“Bo”) Hixson Jr. and Phillip E. Fleenor.

Fleenor said, “George adds greatly to our firm in that he will be instrumental in developing and expanding our estate planning and elder law practice, and he significantly strengthens our existing real estate, leasing, and transactional practice areas. He expands the expertise and services that we can extend to our clients, and we’re very excited to have George with us.”
