Twilight Nights at the Chattanooga Zoo

The Chattanooga Zoo has decided to give both its animals and visitors a break from the summer heat by extending operating hours throughout the summer.

Every Thursday, the Zoo will stay open until 8 p.m., three hours past its normal closing time. Twilight Nights will be every Thursday through August 14, and will be regular Zoo admission (adult $8.95; child $5.95; children under 3 are free).

The Chattanooga Zoo’s Gombe Café will also be open for dinner during the extended hours. Darde Long, president and CEO says, “Many of the Zoo’s animals, especially during the summer, enjoy the cooler evenings and are quite active during the later afternoon.

This is also a great opportunity for visitors to get to see our nocturnal animals in action.” For more information, visit www.chattzoo.org or call (423) 697-1319.
