Chattanooga Chamber announces Small Business Award finalists




The Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce recently announced the finalists for the 2014 Small Business Awards.

 Both recipients and finalists will be honored on March 19 during the Small Business Awards Luncheon celebrating small business and entrepreneurial excellence in Chattanooga.

 The event will take place at the Chattanooga Convention Center from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. The finalists are:

1-20 employees: Office Furniture Warehouse; RMJ Tactical; and Yogi’s PrimoPromo

21-50 employees: Airnet Group; JHM Certified Public Accountants; and Southtree Digital Media

51-200 employees: Chattanooga Allergy Clinic; Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel; and Marion Environmental.

 Finalists for the nonprofit organization of the year are Friends of the Festival, Girls Inc. of Chattanooga and The Trust for Public Land.

 To qualify for a Small Business Award, companies must have owned and operated a business in the Chattanooga MSA for a minimum of three years, shown exemplary success within their industry, and displayed a high level of community involvement and corporate citizenship.

Nonprofit organizations must be committed to ethical practices, engage in community service, and exert a positive impact on the community. 

Candidates for all awards must be Chattanooga Chamber members.

The Small Business Awards Luncheon is held in conjunction with EXPO Chattanooga, the area’s largest showcase of local business. The EXPO will take place from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tickets are free.
