45th Annual Home Show to offer over 450 booths

The 45th Annual Tri-State Home Show will offer over 450 booths from builders and remodelers who will be on hand to showcase their products, offer advice and help attendees through their remodeling process whether big or small. Teresa Groves, the executive director of the Homebuilder’s Association of Southern Tennessee, says that this year’s show will also offer products to accessorize the home such as wall hangings and flower arrangements.

Spring is a great time to get into the remodeling spirit and spruce up a home for sale or for aesthetic satisfaction, and the Tri-State Home Show can help to get the ideas flowing on where to start. The 45th annual Tri-State Home Show at the Convention and Trade Center Feb. 25 through 27 will showcase builders and remodelers to help clients invest in everything from basic repairs to something as extensive as installing new kitchen cabinets.
There will be over 450 booths to display the latest home products and services to make your house a home, including new energy efficient items that can also provide a tax break.
Executive Director Teresa Groves at the Homebuilder’s Association of Southern Tenn-essee helps to put together the Home Show each year and says visiting the show will inspire you.
“You can see, touch and experience the most beautiful landscaping, kitchens, windows, remodeling and building services available in our area. Everything to make your house a home is all under one roof,” she says.
This includes 100,000-square-feet filled with the latest products and services on the market and makes the show one of the most respected in the construction trade, retail home products and service industry. The show also functions to promote to all the Tri-State area with high intensity advertising and public relations.
There will also be numerous giveaways totaling thousands of dollars during the show including a $7,500 HVAC system to be installed in the winner’s home from Service Heating and Air, a $2,000 bed by Mattress 4 You, and a $6,000 playhouse from Best Home Builders that kids will love to imagine themselves in. Another reason to bring the kids is the activities at the show provided by Games Go to You, Home Depot and the Balloon Guy.
“We always say anything for your house is under one roof at this show at the convention center,” Groves says.
“We’ve got beautiful landscaping this year, because a lot of the time during the spring people want to look at landscaping. We have outdoor living and pool companies and anything for your outdoor. We have a lot of interior design areas that people will display. There will be a booth set up like a room display that will show interior design at work. One of our kitchen cabinet companies will have 16 booths of the newest trends of kitchen cabinets. That’s a lot of booths.”
Another booth that will be at the Home Show is the “His and Hers Organization” by the team at Creekside Closets. This company brings more than 20 years of experience with one of the area’s top custom closet franchises into this new company. They offer affordable options in organization to turn closets piled with clothes into convenient and useful spaces with new drawers, cabinets and features like slide-out ironing boards and mirrors.
They can also help with that junk space in the garage to transform it into a client’s customized workspace.
There is also the “Choose Your Own Slab” booth with an amazing in-stock slab selection on site where there are plenty of options and over 75 different colors to choose from. The experienced staff at Cornerstone Granite will help with every step during the process of design, fabrication and installation.
There will be options for replacing windows, doors and roofing at the Home Show, and this year they will have a lot of products for the home like wall-hangings, flower arrangements and different things that people may want to buy, Graves says.
Ferguson will also be there and have trends on different bathrooms and appliances. Like in years past, attendees can come to the show to learn about basement leveling and waterproofing their home, and there will be vendors there to talk about sunroom additions. Mosquito netting, screens for the home, security, pest control, lawn service and more will all be at this year’s Home Show, says Groves.
“It’s great for those looking for a home to see what they would like in their house or to add to a house they recently purchased,” she says. “Sometimes the house that people buy needs quite a bit of work done to it, and this is a great place to come. Sometimes people want to sell their house in three to five years but instead of waiting to redo it [later], they do it now. A lot of people come if they think they want to build a house in the next six months to a year and see what the new products are.”
With builders and remodelers on hand to demonstrate their products and offer advice, those who attend can take home plans and talk to someone there about their building or remodeling needs, Groves says.
The hours of the Home Show are Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Seniors receive $2 off the $7 admission price on Friday and children under 16 are free all three days. On Saturday and Sunday, bringing a canned good will take $1 off admission price, and the donations will go to support the Food Bank.
A portion of the proceeds from this show will also help support the Chattanooga chapter of the Red Cross and the Habitat for Humanity.
“Since we are the Home-builders Association, a home show is kind of our industry,” Groves says. “We have members who are builders and remodelers and associate members, which a lot of them are those you will see at the show for consumers to buy and see their products, and that’s why we put on the show.
“It benefits the vendors there because they get business and helps the community because these are a lot of these businesses that are in the community.”
