Monday, February 20
Chattanooga Junior Cham-
ber of Commerce, led by Pres-ident Tom Thielke, Saturday night at the quarterly state board meeting in Gatlinburg, was presented the Tennessee Jaycee “Club of the Quarter” award for the second time in a row this administrative year. The award to Tennessee’s Outstanding Young Man of the Year was presented to William N. Morris of Memphis.

Tuesday, February 21
J. Polk Smartt has been named general chairman and William S. Keese, Jr. co-chairman of the annual Sustaining Fund Campaign of the Uni-versity of Chattanooga, Dr. LeRoy A. Martin, president, announced Monday. The goal for this year’s drive is $50,000.

Wednesday, February 22
Mrs. Warren S. Gardner, Jr., of Signal Mountain, will head the Hamilton County Cancer Crusade’s house-to-house phase, which begins April 21.

Thursday, February 23
Reorganization of the Chamber of Commerce staff to include appointment of Frank Orend as membership director was announced Wednesday.

Friday, February 24
E.C. Mease and E.C. Ortmeier announced the organization of a new Chattanooga Company, Air-draulics, Inc., as a stocking distributor and service organization for air and hydraulic cylinders and valves.
