Dedication of a mem-orial plaque at Chickamauga Dam in honor of the late Congressman Sam D. McReynolds, Friday afternoon was held at the dam near the entrance to the powerhouse.
Fletcher Morgan was master of ceremonies, and Senator Estes Kefauver was the principal speaker. Mary Davenport McReynolds, widow of Congressman McReynolds, was a special guest at the ceremonies.

Sunday, December 18
Two golf courses with sites for 300 fine homes on winding streets between fairways will be built north of Hixson in a development the ultimately is expected to represent a $10,000,000 investment.
Valleybrook will be developed by DADAC, Inc. Ed Chobot, Dr. Stewart Smith, Carl Drake, Jr., L.B. Austin and Clyde Abernathy, directors.

Thursday, December 22
John H. Reddy, Chatta-nooga attorney, apparently lacks only the endorsement of U.S. Senator Albert Gore to insure his appointment as U.S. attorney for the Eastern district of Tennessee to succeed John C. Crawford, Jr., who announced plans to retire January 21.
