What'll They Dream Up Next?

Arbonne Makeup Primer

Arbonne’s Makeup Primer provides a flawless canvas for makeup application, but you might become addicted to its silky feel. - Misty S. Brown
When I was a young girl, I didn’t know much about taking care of my skin and hair. I had an unruly mess of curls and bangs that wERE tamable only in ponytail or braid form. Fortunately I’ve somewhat figured out the hair situation and how to embrace the curls or straighten it when the weather isn’t too humid.
But my skin, well, that has been interesting. With a dad who obviously didn’t know much about makeup and skin care telling me to use rubbing alcohol as an astringent, my poor skin was in for the beating of a lifetime.
Since that time, I’ve used the gamut of products to try to overcome my skin’s problem areas – from dry, flaky facial skin, to the occasionally painful pimple, big pores and more recently, laugh lines as deep as the Grand Canyon, I have tried almost everything under the sun. The cabinets in my bathroom, shelves in my bedroom closet and a plastic drawer set in the spare room all serve as a graveyard for all the things I’ve tried and eventually abandoned, but can’t seem to let go.
I never received a compliment on my skin until recently after I started using a botanically based, vegan skin care line of products from Arbonne. If you read one of my recent columns about a foot cream, you would know that the more natural a product is, the better it works for me. Well, that’s the case with everything I’ve tried from Arbonne. Specifically, I want to tell you about this amazing makeup primer the company offers.
What it is
Arbonne’s Makeup Primer is a vitamin-rich base for makeup that reduces fine lines and pores to make a flawless canvas for makeup application.
How it works
The 1-fluid ounce bottle of Makeup Primer can be smoothed in a thin layer over your entire face – lips and eyelids included – using just one pre-metered pump after cleaning your face and applying a moisturizer. The ingredients are nut and gluten free and include at least 16 skin conditioners and emollients. The key ingredients are hyaluronic filling spheres, polypeptides, horsetail extract, green tea leaf and grapeseed extract. The primer is light and silky, but smoothens problem areas quickly.
Pros and cons
The bottle is pre-metered, so one pump is all it takes for a full application. A little will go a long way with this and every other Arbonne product.
Once you start using this, you’ll become addicted. It is sold by direct marketing, so it might be difficult to obtain in a store, if at all. That’s where a great relationship with an independent consultant or Internet access comes in handy. You can even look for a consultant in your area on the Arbonne.com website.
The product makes makeup application easy and flawless. It gives your skin a matte finish, which looks more natural and true. Best of all, it will make your makeup last much longer than normal wear and feels really nice on your skin.
I use this product on a daily basis and I have grown to love it. It lasts a long time, so it is well worth the cost. In the interest of full disclosure, I have become an independent Arbonne consultant to supplement my income and get the products at a great discount. I have really enjoyed everything I’ve purchased and have seen results quickly. I wouldn’t tell you this product rocks my socks if it really didn’t, regardless if I sold it or not.
Where to buy
Visit Arbonne’s Web site at www.arbonne.com/Arbonne Cosmetics/ under the FACE tab to buy the Makeup Primer for $36 plus tax and shipping. Unfortunately, regardless if you purchase this directly from a consultant, you’ll still have to pay for shipping costs, but combine it with other orders and save yourself some money.
Submissions
Well, folks, I hate to say it, but this is the end of the road for my “What’ll They Dream Up Next?” column. I’ll be revamping this column at a later date somewhere in cyberspace. Until then, submit any comments or suggestions to mstn8r@gmail.com.
