Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel has elected litigation attorney Nate Kinard as a shareholder of the firm.

Kinard has served as a member of Chambliss’ litigation and risk management group since 2016. His clients, which range from startups to publicly traded companies across the U.S., seek his counsel in disputes involving sales of goods, large construction projects, manufacturing and distribution contracts, intellectual property and product liability.

Before joining Chambliss, Kinard clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He honed his appellate expertise as lead counsel in numerous appeals, teaching CLE courses on Sixth Circuit and U.S. Supreme Court cases, serving on the leadership council for the Tennessee Bar Association’s Appellate Practice Section and authoring briefs for amici curiae.

Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch recently recognized Kinard for his appellate practice, commercial litigation and product liability litigation.

Kinard serves on the steering committee for the Federalist Society’s Chattanooga chapter.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in piano performance and political science from Vanderbilt University before attending William & Mary Law School, where he tied for first in his class.
