Benefits of a Home Builders Association membership

The Home Builders Association of Greater Chattanooga is a nonprofit trade organization composed of professional builders, developers and others engaged in home building and remodeling.

Also included are representatives for financial institutions, Realtors, suppliers of building materials and specialized tradespersons.

The association promotes responsible building and development standards, monitors legislation, represents its membership in the halls of government, engages in the educational processes and provides networking opportunities for members.

Builders can also obtain continuing education credits for being a member.

When you join HBAGC, you receive three memberships in one; in addition to becoming a local member, you become a member of the state and national associations as well.

This gives you access to a large volume of services and benefits including resources available through all three member websites. Additional resources include continuing education, industry publications and several money-saving insurance programs.

We also offer a strong legal action program to support members through any unreasonable barriers in construction.

Did you know building and remodeling members automatically receive discounts on over 50 leading manufacturer brands through the HBAT Remodeler Rebate Program? This program is available to all building and remodeling members no matter the volume of their business.

With the supply chain driving prices up, this discount, along with the many other benefits available to HBAGC members, can help your business thrive during challenging times.

The HBAGC also offers exposure to more than 1,300 business professionals through the member directory, as well as advertising opportunities through local, state and national newsletters and magazines.

Members also have the opportunity to take part in HBAGC events that draw huge crowds such as the annual spring and fall home shows at discounted pricing.

The association also supports local businesses and groups such as Habitat for Humanity, American Red Cross, the new Construction Career Center and more, says Director of Operations Nicole Johnson.

“The Associates Council gives scholarships to students in the residential building industry every year,” adds Johnson. “We handed out 24 scholarships this year. We’re very proud of this association and what it does.”
