Newsmakers: Magnolia Trust names Todd McMullen president, CEO




Magnolia Trust Company, a Chattanooga-based trust administrator, has named Todd McMullen president and CEO.

McMullen has served as a Magnolia board member since the company was founded in 2019.

Alongside leading Magnolia, McMullen serves as partner and vice chair of Moore Colson CPAs and Advisors, Magnolia’s sister company in Atlanta.

McMullen joined Coopers & Lybrand in 1985 and served as a business assurance manager until joining Moore Colson in 1993.

He earned a degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame.

McMullen is a licensed certified public accountant in Georgia and a member of the American Institute of CPAs as well as the Georgia Society of CPAs.

East Ridge names Uselton as its new police chief

After a 38-year career in law enforcement, East Ridge Police Chief Stan Allen has retired.

Allen started his law enforcement career with the Chattanooga Police Department in 1984. He took an early retirement in 2012 to accept a position in the private sector.

Allen joined the ERPD as assistant chief in 2015 before being appointed police chief in 2019.

Clint Uselton began serving as the new ERPD police chief on Sept. 26.

A resident of East Ridge for nearly 20 years, Uselton joined the ERPD in 1999 and has held the ranks of patrol officer, sergeant, lieutenant and assistant chief.

He graduated from the FBI National Academy and Tennessee Law Enforcement Executive Development class.
