The author of New York Times bestselling book “From Scratch” will deliver the keynote address at Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel’s 2022 Embrace Aging Forum.

Tembi Locke will share her personal experiences as a caregiver and the importance of creating a community, as written in her bestselling memoir.

Reese Witherspoon and Zoe Saldana are adapting Locke’s memoir as a limited series for Netflix, airing later this year.

“My journey caring for my late husband taught me the depth of the human experience,” Locke says. “I’m proud to honor his memory and our journey together by advocating for the needs of caregivers who are experiencing life’s unexpected twists and turns.”

Locke will share her experiences at the annual event planned for Tuesday, June 28 at the Westin Hotel in downtown Chattanooga.

The half-day event will connect individuals and families to community resources and top service providers in aging while offering breakout sessions on a variety of topics.

“At Chambliss, we want our community to not only know but also embrace the many opportunities for life after retirement,” says Dana Perry, certified elder law attorney and elder law section chair. “The Embrace Aging Forum offers an opportunity to connect with some of the top resources and leaders in the aging field.”

Locke is also known for her acting roles in “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” “The Obituary of Tunde Johnson,” “Dumb and Dumber To,” “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” “The Magicians,” “Proven Innocent” and “NCIS: LA.”

Admission to the Embrace Aging Forum is $55 and includes a light breakfast, breakout sessions, lunch and the keynote presentation. Tickets
