How to get the most from the Fall Home Show

The annual Fall Home Show will be held Oct. 29-31 at the Chattanooga Trade and Convention Center.

Presented by Home Builders Association of Greater Chattanooga and EPB Fiber Optics, the show will feature hundreds of booths covering everything from new home construction and fall fix-ups to whole house renovations and landscaping – all under one roof.

Attendees can go to www.homeshowchattanooga.com to find hours, details, pricing and available discounts.

They also can also view a vendor map to make a game plan of which booths you want to visit before you arrive.

Next, make a list of house projects you plan on tackling in the next year so you know which booths to visit.

Consider your budget for the planned projects and the time frame within which you want to complete the work to help with your discussions with vendors.

Keep in mind that some projects might take longer than usual due to weather delays and the shortage of building materials the U.S. has experienced over the past year.

Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, as you’ll likely be doing a lot of walking from the parking garage to the event space and between booths.

Check the forecast, grab an umbrella if it’s rainy and dress appropriately for the weather, as you’ll be walking outdoors for parking.

Also, masks are recommended for those who aren’t vaccinated.

Bring cash to pay for tickets and concessions and a bag to carry any pamphlets or materials you pick up and purchases you make. Keep a pen handy for taking down information and registering for prizes.

Make sure to keep your cellphone charged to snap photos of exhibits, add contact information from vendors, or in case you get separated from your party.

Hundreds of Chattanooga businesses are looking forward to helping your dream home projects become a reality at the Fall Home Show!
