Newsmakers: Skin Cancer & Cosmetic Dermatology Centers welcomes Agnetta




Dr. Vlatka Agnetta has joined the team of medical providers at Skin Cancer & Cosmetic Dermatology Centers, bringing a focus on Mohs micrographic surgery, a method for removing cancerous tissue.

Agnetta started her career in emergency medicine and then pursued a specialization in dermatology.

After completing the dermatology residency program at Loma Linda University in California, she pursued a fellowship in micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology from the University of Florida College of Medicine.

Agnetta is a known expert in her field, notes Skin Cancer & Cosmetic Dermatology Centers in a news release. Her published works include topics such as metastatic melanoma and carcinomas treated with micrographic surgery.

A native of Croatia, Agnetta moved to the U.S. for the educational opportunities available at American medical schools.

She dedicates her time and expertise to community events like skin cancer screenings and health fairs.

HHM CPAs welcomes 5

HHM Certified Public Accountants has hired two senior accountants and three staff accountants.

HHM welcomes Joseph Bishop to its management advisory services team. He will assist with mergers and acquisitions, including planning, implementation and evaluation of potential tax consequences.

Bishop will also provide trust and estate services, valuation services and individual tax planning and consulting.

A licensed attorney, Bishop completed a judicial clerkship in the Tax Court of New Jersey before joining a firm. After that, he spent three years at large accounting firms, where he handled partnership taxation, the Research and Development Tax Credit, and mergers and acquisitions.

Bishop is a military veteran, graduated Cum Laude from the University of Maine and obtained his juris doctor from Rutgers Law School.

Returning to the firm is Andrew Mayfield, who previously worked at both HHM’s Chattanooga and Memphis locations. Mayfield will assist business owners in year-end tax planning, succession planning and general tax and accounting services.

Before returning to the firm, Mayfield served as controller and vice president of finance for a data and media company. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and an MBA from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Blake Bryson joins HHM’s management advisory services team as a staff accountant. He will provide valuation support, mergers and acquisitions due diligence and management advisory consulting.

Before joining HHM, Bryson worked in public accounting performing audits on domestic and international hedge funds and private equity funds.

He also spent time in private industry doing accounting, financial planning and analysis, and mergers and acquisitions consulting.

Bryson holds degrees in accounting and business administration from Liberty University.

HHM also welcomes Gabby Galluzzi to its accounting and assurance department. Before graduating from UTC with a master of accountancy, Gabby was an intern at HHM.

Rachael Yager also joins the firm’s accounting and assurance team. She will assist in the completion of audit field work, as well as prepare financial statements and tax returns.

Before joining HHM, Yager worked in public accounting as a staff auditor following a two-year internship with a local manufacturer.

First Horizon selects banking center manager

First Horizon Bank recently named Mariah Barrows banking center manager of the North Highway 58 location.

Barrows’ career in banking began at First Horizon in 2015. As banking center manager, she manages all aspects of the customer experience, as well as operations of the center.

In her spare time, Barrows enjoys spending time with her husband, two children and 2-year-old German Shepherd. She also enjoys being outdoors and reading.

Parkridge Health taps CEO for 3 campuses

Parkridge Health System has named Dr. Timothy Grant CEO of the Parkridge North, Parkridge West and Parkridge Valley Child & Adolescent campuses.

Grant will continue in his role as market chief medical officer for Parkridge Health and assumes additional CEO responsibilities that reflect the growth of medical service lines at Parkridge West and Parkridge North campuses.

Grant earned a bachelor’s degree from Clemson University and a medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.

He completed an internship and residency in anesthesiology at Duke University Medical Center and served a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

In addition to his medical training, Grant earned an MBA from the University of Massachusetts. He holds a Lean Greenbelt for Healthcare Certification from the Institute of Industrial Engineers and is a certified physician executive.
