Tracy Wood, Alleo Health System president and CEO, has joined the board of directors of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.
Wood joined Hospice of Chattanooga in 2016 as the not-for-profit’s first female and African American CEO. She then spearheaded the creation of the Alleo Health System parent company in 2019.
Through acquisitions which integrated new clinical providers, Alleo Health now provides care for patients and families in 37 counties across Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and North Carolina.
Wood holds a degree in psychology from Marymount College and a master’s degree of public administration with a concentration in health care administration from Grand Canyon University.
She is certified as a hospice and palliative care administrator through the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association and holds a compliance certificate for hospice and palliative care from the NHPCO.
Wood is an active member of the Society of Human Resource Management. She is also a member of the 2019 Trademark Women of Distinction class, a graduate of the 2018-2019 Leadership Chattanooga class and a member of the YMCA of Chattanooga Board of Directors.
Board of Regents honors Chattanooga State student
The Tennessee Board of Regents recently awarded the inaugural Chancellor’s Commendation to military veterans at Tennessee’s community and technical colleges. The board selected Jack Chislett, a Tennessee College of Applied Technology student in the collision repair technology program, as Chattanooga State’s recipient.
Chislett is a U.S. Coast Guard veteran with 14 years of service. A decorated veteran, his achievements include Outstanding Air Crewman Perchard Award, Transportation 911 Ribbon for Extraordinary Service, Coast Guard Meritorious Team Commendation Awards, Commanders Intent Award – Superior Performance, Coast Guard Unit Commendation Award, Letters of Commendation, Achievement Medals, Coast Guard Good Conduct Medals and a Global War Terror Service Medal.
The Board of Regents and Chancellor Flora Tydings established the new commendation to honor military veterans in campus communities.
Chattanooga State President Dr. Rebecca Ashford presented the award, a specially designed challenge coin, to Chislett.
Windham is named Parkridge East CEO
Parkridge Health System has named Will Windham the new CEO of Parkridge East Hospital. Windham has served in leadership roles since 2006 across Parkridge Health parent company HCA Healthcare.
Windham earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master’s degree in hospital and health administration degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Before joining Parkridge, Windham served as chief executive officer of LewisGale Hospital Alleghany in Low Moor, Virginia. He has also held leadership positions at HCA Healthcare’s HealthONE office and Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver, Colorado, and at the corporate Strategic Resource Group and Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
Windham and his wife, Lauren, have two children and recently relocated to the Chattanooga area.
