Three new associate attorneys at Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel will support a variety of service areas, the firm reports.
Cecilia Young Garrett, Nicholas Nester and Isiah Robinson will support the firm’s clients in the areas of bankruptcy and creditors’ rights; elder law, estate and trust planning and litigation; labor and employment; and litigation and risk management.

“We’ve enjoyed seeing them develop since they were summer associates in law school, and these exceptional individuals will complement the depth of talent in many of our firm’s service areas.”
Chattanooga native Garrett represents and defends clients in contract disputes, Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy filings, business insurance negotiations and other commercial litigation matters.
In addition to serving in the litigation and risk management section, she assists clients of the labor and employment section with employer issues related to workers’ compensation, the Fair Labor Standards Act and corporate document review.
Garrett advises individuals and businesses operating in a variety of industries including transportation and logistics, manufacturing, health care and municipal government. In addition, she advises on a wide range of family law issues.
Garrett served as president of the Student Bar Association at Belmont University College of Law, where she earned her law degree and received the Tennessee Supreme Court Law Student for Justice award for completing over 50 hours of pro bono work during her law school career.
She earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Nester is a member of Chambliss’ estate planning team. He regularly drafts estate planning documents, advises on tax issues and assists with estate and trust administration. He also provides counsel to individuals and families navigating wills, trusts and powers of attorney, various probate and tax issues, as well as litigation stemming from trust and estate administration.
Nester served as the managing editor of Tennessee Journal of Law and Policy and was also part of the International Baseball Salary Arbitration Team.
He graduated with honors from The University of Tennessee College of Law and earned his undergraduate degree from Alderson Broaddus University.
Robinson focuses his practice on a variety of civil matters for Chambliss’ estate planning and litigation and risk management clients. The firm entrusts him with advanced health care directives, powers of attorney and wills.
He also helps clients navigate domestic matters involving divorce and alimony disputes and represents medical facilities in involuntary commitment hearings.
Robinson received the CALI Award for Excellence in both trial practice and legislation from the Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction.
He graduated from The University of Tennessee College of Law and earned his undergraduate degree from The University of the South.
