Newsmakers: Baumgardner leaving First Things First




Longtime First Things First CEO Julie Baumgardner will step down in January after accepting a leadership position with the WinShape Foundation. The FTF board of trustees has tapped communications director Lauren Hall to serve as interim CEO while it conducts a national search. The search will include internal and external candidates. Before joining FTF in 2015, Hall worked for The Johnson Group.

Bethlehem Center selects Singh

The Bethlehem Center has added Josh Singh as director of strategic operations.

Singh brings more than 10 years of marketing and project management experience to The Bethlehem Center. He has earned degrees in physics, psychology and divinity, and has served startups, Fortune 500 companies and a marketing firm during his career in Atlanta and Chattanooga.

Before joining The Bethlehem Center, he served as the director of faith-based and neighborhood partnerships at local nonprofit UnifiEd.

McLemore Club taps Weaver

Hospitality veteran Jerry Weaver has joined the McLemore Club, a newly opened venue on Lookout Mountain, as director of sales. Beginning his career as a sales manager based in Pittsburgh, Weaver grew the markets he served to produce over $21 million annually in just over seven years. During this time, he rose to become global account director with Starwood Hotels, where he marketed over 1,600 hotels.

Before coming to McLemore, Weaver spent five years in the Washington, D.C. area. Weaver earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from California University of Pennsylvania. He and his wife are the parents of two adult daughters.
