Greater Chattanooga Realtors, in partnership with Real Estate Partners, donated $4,000 to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank last month to help with COVID-19 relief efforts.

Tennessee Realtors allocated $2,000 to Greater Chattanooga Realtors for COVID-19 relief in the community. Real Estate Partners matched the grant with an additional $2,000.

Greater Chattanooga Realtors identified East Lake as an area that could benefit from the relief effort. On Sept. 24, volunteers from Greater Chattanooga Realtors helped pack and distribute food with other participants.

“We hope our small donation will go a long way toward filling a need in our community,” says Brandi Pearl Thompson, 2020 president of Greater Chattanooga Realtors. “It’s amazing that one dollar provides four meals.”

“We’re grateful to Greater Chattanooga Realtors and Real Estate Partners,” says Shelley Armstrong, director of events and major gifts for the Chattanooga Area Food Bank. “After COVID, we had a 54% increase in need. The need is not over – we’re expecting it to rise for the next 12 to 18 months – but because of this donation, we were able to provide 16,000 meals to those in need.”

“When people give to the food bank, they’re giving to their neighbors,” says Ryan May, affiliate broker at Real Estate Partners. “We’re proud to help this organization do its incredible work.”
