The American Bar Foundation has inducted Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel attorney Dana Perry as a fellow of its global honorary society.

The ABF limits membership in the fellows to 1% of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction. The selection process includes peer nomination, after which the ABF board votes on inclusion.

Perry is now a Fellow of the American, Tennessee and Chattanooga Bar Foundations. In addition, she is consistently included in Mid-South Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America in the areas of estate planning and elder law. Perry has been named 2020 Chattanooga Lawyer of the Year in the area of estate planning.

A shareholder at Chambliss, Perry is one of only a handful of elder law attorneys in the southeast region certified through the National Elder Law Foundation to serve elders and their families.

She has been licensed as an NELF elder law specialist since 1997. Perry also is accredited through the Department of Veterans Affairs and a member of both the Academy of Special Needs Planners and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.

Perry leads an interdisciplinary team that offers Chambliss clients estate planning, care coordination, conservatorships and guardianships, special needs planning, business succession planning and more.

Chambliss is approaching its fourth year of hosting the Embrace Aging Forum, which Perry and her team created to connect regional resources in aging to individuals and their loved ones.

Perry serves on numerous civic boards in the Chattanooga community and also is currently the finance vice president and an executive committee member of Meritas, a worldwide alliance of more than 190 independent law firms in more than 95 countries.

“I’m honored to be recognized as an American Bar Foundation Fellow,” Perry said. “Since the start of my career, I have dedicated my practice to serving my clients and community with the highest levels of service, care and professionalism.”
