Real estate executive Kyle joins Hutton as chief dev. officer

Hutton, a Chattanooga-based commercial real estate, development and investment company, has named Douglas Kyle its chief development officer. Kyle brings more than 35 years of real estate and development experience to the company, which has completed over 1,100 projects for more than 100 vendors across 40 states.

As chief development officer, Kyle will lead the real estate and development teams and assist with optimizing the company’s operating portfolio, which consists of an evolving mix of shopping center, single tenant, self-storage and multifamily as well as joint ventures.

Kyle is the third executive Hutton has hired in the past two years to round out its leadership team, which now includes of Karen Hutton (president and CEO), Mike Deering (chief investment officer), Matt Partridge (chief operating officer and chief finance officer) and Ben Harper (general counsel).

Before joining Hutton, Kyle served as president of Armstrong Development Properties, where he oversaw the company’s day-to-day operations and the launch of its national development platform.

Kyle relocated to Chattanooga for the position at Hutton from Pittsburgh. He also served as a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors.
