Newsmakers: CHI Memorial adds Drs. Sumit Patel, Jesse Tucker




Drs. Sumit Patel and Jesse Tucker have joined CHI Memorial Medical Group’s Buz Standefer Lung Center. Patel received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica. He completed his residency in internal medicine at State University of New York in Buffalo, where he also completed fellowships in pulmonary care and sleep medicine. Patel is board certified by the American Board of Internal medicine in internal medicine and pulmonary disease.  

Tucker received his medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, where he also completed a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine. Tucker is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. In addition, he holds a master’s degree in public health in epidemiology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Public Health.

Emanski joins Spine Surgery

Fellowship-trained spine surgeon Dr. Eric Emanski has joined the multidisciplinary team at Spine Surgery Associates. Emanski earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine and completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

He completed the Louis A. Goldstein Spine Surgery Fellowship at the University of Rochester. Emanski has a special interest in cervical and lumbar degenerative disease, spine trauma and adult deformity.

Parkridge welcomes internal specialist

Parkridge Medical Group – Primary Care has added internal medicine specialist Dr. Samuel Abbas to its 961 Spring Creek Road location. Abbas earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine.

He completed both an internship and residency in internal medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. .
