Tennessee home sales move up




There were 11,028 single-family home closings in Tennessee in July, up 9.4% from 10,081 a year earlier, while the median price rose steadily and active listings jumped, according to data compiled by Tennessee Realtors and the national association’s Realtors Property Resource.

In July, the median single-family home sales price in Tennessee grew 6.8% (from $220,000 to $235,000), while active listings reached 66,447 (up 30.9% from 50,727).

Meanwhile, Tennessee condominium sales in July were relatively flat from year to year (266 closings versus 252), the median condo price rose 17.7% ($145,450 to $171,125) and active condo listings decreased 28% (864 to 621).
