Registration is open for the third annual Embrace Aging Forum hosted by Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel. Award-winning social entrepreneur Marc Freedman is this year’s keynote speaker.

Freedman recently released his latest book, “How to Live Forever,” which examines how people are living longer and the meaning of the years after age 50.

In addition to Freedman’s keynote address, the Embrace Aging Forum will include a trends panel with industry professionals in public policy, housing and development, technology and philanthropy.

Breakout sessions will cover Medicare, long-term care and disability benefits planning, nutrition and wellness, tidying up personal and financial assets, and how to speak with loved ones about end of life wishes and preferences.

Attendees will also have time to network with exhibitors who represent a wide range of service providers in aging, including trust and financial service providers, living facilities and tech companies. A new component this year is the Caregiver’s Corner, which will offer benefits and resources for caregivers.

For the first time in U.S. history, there are more people older than 60 than 18 or younger. In response, service providers and organizations are changing how they deliver products and services to today’s aging population.

Chambliss hosts the annual forum to connect boomers, older adults and their caregivers to community resources and service providers in Chattanooga.

“Our community is stronger when we work together to help aging adults lead their best lives, and the Embrace Aging Forum connects generations and ignites important conversations on aging,” says Dana Perry, a certified elder law attorney at Chambliss Law. “Freedman’s message is energizing and inspiring, and we want people to engage with him and his message in August.

“Connecting with resources that aid families and aging loved ones is an added bonus.”

The Third Annual Embrace Aging Forum will be held Aug. 22 from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at the Doubletree in downtown Chattanooga. The event welcomes individuals, families, caregivers and professionals in aging. Valet parking, breakfast and lunch are included in registration.

General admission is $50 with a reduced rate of $30 for adults age 55 and older. Tickets are limited. Register
