Chattery launches summer class series

Local nonprofit The Chattery is joining River City Company to host a series of creative classes in Cooper’s Alley downtown. Classes will range from flower arranging to embroidery and will conclude at the end of June.

• Saturday, June 1: Hand embroidery with found objects

• Thursday, June 13: Inappropriate tea party

• Friday, June 21: Summer solstice party

• Thursday, June 27: Flower arranging

Headquartered at Chattanooga Workspace, The Chattery has popped up in more than 50 locations throughout Chattanooga including coffee shops, office spaces and restaurants.

In addition to classes in the passageway, The Chattery will also activate the alleyway to host a summer solstice party, which will be free to the public. The party will feature a local DJ and beverages for purchase from The Mad Priest and London Calling.
