Hospice of Chattanooga creates Alleo Health System

Hospice of Chattanooga has created Alleo Health System, which will serve as the parent organization of the growing Hospice of Chattanooga nonprofit family of service organizations in Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina.

For nearly 40 years, Hospice of Chattanooga has provided care to meet the medical, emotional and spiritual needs of its patients during their end-of-life journey and to support their loved ones through the process and beyond.

This commitment was the catalyst for the creation of Alleo Health System, which encompasses each arm of the Hospice of Chattanooga family, from its palliative care program to its children’s care and grief support programs.

“Over the last few years, Hospice of Chattanooga has experienced tremendous growth as we have expanded both in geographic reach and scope of services. Currently, we are serving 22 counties in Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina. As we continue to grow, it’s important to have a name that reflects our capabilities and our reach,” says Tracy Wood, president and CEO of Hospice of Chattanooga.

The network’s name is derived from the word “allay,” which means to alleviate and provide comfort.
