The Helen Ross McNabb Center has added Brad Franks as director of Hamilton and McMinn counties. Franks will oversee the center’s outpatient services in the Chattanooga area.
Franks is a licensed marital and family therapist. He has been with Helen Ross for the past 10 years. Franks most recently served as the center’s director of addiction services in Knoxville.
Franks graduated from Carson Newman College in 2008 with a master’s degree in counseling and earned his LMFT in 2011. He specializes in trauma focused treatment, co-occurring disorders and family systemic therapy.
Franks is a member of the Tennessee Association of Alcohol, Drug & Other Addiction Services and serves on the addictions committee of the Tennessee Association of Mental Health Organization and the steering committee of the Co-Occurring Collaborative East Tennessee.
Parkridge Health System welcomes John Baldwin
Parkridge Health System welcomes John Baldwin as market associate administrator and co-ethics and compliance officer.
Working with Tom Ozburn, Parkridge Health president and CEO, Baldwin has administrative oversight and responsibility for support services at Parkridge Medical Center and Parkridge West Hospital. Baldwin also oversees construction projects across the six-facility health system.
Baldwin earned a Master of Health Administration degree from the University of Memphis. He graduated from Austin Peay State University with a master’s degree in health leadership after earning a degree in kinesiology from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Before joining Parkridge Health, Baldwin was on staff at TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna.
Baldwin actively participates in the American College of Healthcare Executives and the National Association of Health Services Executives. He also serves in governance roles for community health care organizations, such as the Tennessee Hospital Association’s Council on Inclusion & Health Equity and the University of Memphis’ MHA Advisory Board.
WWTA board names Patrick as interim executive director
The Hamilton County WWTA Board of Commissioners has named chief engineer Michael Patrick as the organization’s interim executive director. Patrick replaces former executive director Mark Harrison, who resigned in February.
Before joining the WWTA as chief engineer, Patrick was the director of the Chattanooga’s Water Wastewater Resources Division. He was responsible for the overall operation of the city’s regional water and wastewater collection and treatment system.
Barrett joins First Tennessee Bank
First Tennessee Bank has named David Barrett portfolio manager for commercial banking in the Chattanooga market. Barrett will be responsible for acquisition, retention and expansion of First Tennessee Bank’s commercial banking clients as well as structuring and monitoring commercial relationships.
A Chattanooga native, Barrett has a banking career that spans 17 years. Before joining First Tennessee Bank, he worked in commercial and industrial banking as well as credit administration.
Barrett received his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. In addition, he has served as a director of Northside Neighborhood House, a board member of the Fortwood Center, chairman of Chattanooga Ducks Unlimited and a fundraiser for other Chattanooga nonprofits.
CHI Memorial names Anthony Houston COO
Anthony Houston is the new chief operating officer of CHI Memorial. He succeeds Janelle Reilly, who was recently promoted to chief executive officer.
Houston has more than 18 years of leadership experience with complex health systems in Arkansas, Missouri and Illinois. He most recently served as the president of CHI St. Vincent in Hot Springs, Arkansas, the seventh largest hospital in Arkansas.
Houston earned a master’s degree in health services administration at Xavier University in Cincinnati and a degree in biology from the University of Cincinnati. He is pursuing a doctorate in education at Creighton University in Omaha. Houston is board certified in health care management and is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
