Chattanooga’s first Lego convention, BrickUniverse Lego, arrives at the Chattanooga Convention Center on May 18-19.

Professional Lego artist Jonathan Lopes will be coming from San Diego to showcase more than 30 of his Lego displays, including an 8-foot high Lego Model of New York City’s Woolworth Building.

Lopes will be in attendance all weekend and will available to talk with attendees about his life as a professional Lego artist.

Additionally, Chicago-based Lego artist Rocco Buttliere will be bringing more than 50 massive Lego models of landmarks from around the world, including the largest skyscraper in the world, Burj Khalifa, Westminster Palace in London and more.

Both artists have had exhibitions around the world, including London, Chicago, Dallas, Copenhagen and New York.

Other attractions will include: a building zone features thousands of bricks laid out for attendees, a Lego Duplo (large Lego) building area for young visitors, Lego merchandise, and a Star Wars zone.
