First Tennessee Bank has named Lebron Womack senior commercial relationship manager of its commercial group in Chattanooga. Womack will be responsible for the acquisition, retention, and expansion of First Tennessee’s commercial business clients.
With a career in the banking industry spanning over two decades, Womack joined First Tennessee in 2012, most recently serving as a senior business banking relationship manager.
Womack earned a degree in economics from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He recently served as the board president for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga and enjoys volunteering with several nonprofit organizations. Womack and his wife, Kimberly, live in Ooltewah with their three daughters.
Pinnacle’s Shamblin earns trust certification
David Shamblin, trust services advisor with Pinnacle Financial Partners, was recently awarded the Certified Trust & Financial Advisor professional certification from the American Bankers Association.
To qualify for the CTFA certification, individuals must have certain levels of experience and education in the trust profession, pass an exam, and agree to abide by a code of ethics. The CTFA exam covers many areas including fiduciary and trust activities, financial planning, tax law and planning, investment management and ethics.
Shamblin came to Pinnacle earlier this year from BB&T. He has 10 years of experience in financial services and earned a degree in public administration and nonprofit management from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, and is licensed in life, accident and health insurance as well as long term care insurance in Tennessee.
CWLI hires marketing, membership coordinator
CWLI has hired its third full-time staff member, Ashley Rutledge, who stepped into the role of marketing and membership coordinator in January. Rutledge was previously the communications coordinator with CWLI. Rutledge recently graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a degree in communication.
Memorial welcomes Patrice Henry
Patrice Henry has joined CHI Memorial Family Practice Associates–Soddy-Daisy. Henry earned a nursing degree from Chattanooga State Community College and a master’s degree from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville. She is board certified as a nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Hammond appoints interim chief deputy
Sheriff Jim Hammond has appointed Allen Branum to serve as interim chief deputy until Austin Garrett takes over as chief deputy. Branum retired in 2018 after serving as chief deputy since 2008.
Since Branum’s retirement, the position of interim chief deputy has been held by retired Deputy Chief of Law Enforcement Bill Johnson, who agreed to serve until Dec. 31. Johnson retired in 2018 after more than 30 years in law enforcement.
Branum will remain interim chief deputy until further notice.
Moses completes basic training
U.S. Air Force Airman Spencer Moses has graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in Texas. The airman completed an eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Moses is the son of Renee and Rocky Moses of Chattanooga. He is a 2018 graduate of Ooltewah High School.
