Mark Hite and Marcus McKamey will co-chair CHI Memorial Foundation’s 17th annual Pink! Gala, taking place Saturday, Jan. 22.
This year’s theme is “Beyond the Palace Gates, An Evening in the Royal Garden.”
“Join us for a whimsical celebration replete with lively entertainment, striking statuary and captivating landscapes at every turn,” reads a news release announcing the event.
Proceeds from Pink! will ensure the MaryEllen Locher Breast Center at CHI Memorial has the latest technology available and provides the highest quality care available to women in need, Hite says.
“Since one in eight women will develop invasive breast cancer, I’m proud to partner with the MaryEllen Locher Breast Center to raise money for and awareness of this important issue.
“I believe giving begins at home, and all monies raised through this event will stay right here in our community.”
The proceeds will also provide college scholarships to children who have had a parent experience breast cancer.
“Breast cancer has personally affected all of us in some way,” shares McKamey, whose mother battled the disease. “Early detection and access to care are key in the fight against breast cancer, and the money raised through this gala will help provide the latest technology and the highest quality care for our community.”
Sponsorship opportunities for Pink! range from $4,000 to $25,000. Early-bird sponsorship discounts are available through Sept. 15. Any remaining individual Pink! tickets go on sale Dec. 1.
Pink! has raised more than $4.9 million since 2006.
