Terri Lee will serve as director of community relations for Chattanooga Pro Soccer. Lee will assist in building relationships and growing the USL Division III professional team’s brand as well as coordinate events and game day fan experiences.
Lee previously served as team manager for the Chattanooga Football Club Academy. Beyond her experience with youth soccer, Lee has served in numerous positions with the Big Ridge Elementary Parent Teacher Association.
Before joining Chattanooga Pro Soccer, Lee served as Chattanooga’s city treasurer. Prior to that, she spent 17 years with Unum Group.
Lee graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and is an alumna of Ooltewah High School. She serves on the Mayor’s Council for Women and lives in Hixson with her husband and two children.
3 surgeons join medical group
John Gwin, Jr, M.D., Daniel Heithold, M.D. and J. Andrew Lovette, M.D. have joined CHI Memorial Surgical Associates.
Dr. Gwin received his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut. He completed his internship and residency in general surgery at University of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham. Dr. Gwin completed a fellowship in surgical oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia. He’s board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Heithold received his medical degree from Medical College of Georgia. He completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Georgia Baptist Medical Center. Dr. Heithold is board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery and trained to perform robotic-assisted surgery.
Dr. Lovette received his medical degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University. He completed his residency in general surgery at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Dr. Lovette is board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery and trained to perform robotic-assisted surgery. He began his career in Mississippi before moving to the Chattanooga area in 2007.
CHI welcomes gynecologist
Emily Evitt, M.D., has joined CHI Memorial Women’s Health Associates. Dr. Evitt received her medical degree from University of Tennessee College of Medicine. She completed an internship and residency at Atlanta Medicine Center. Dr. Evitt is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is also certified on the da Vinci Surgical System.
Dr. Evitt previously worked as an obstetrician and gynecologist in Knoxville and Murfreesboro, Huntsville and Norwalk, Ohio. She has been a Girl Scout leader and youth soccer coach in Huntsville and in Chattanooga.

3 join CNE board of directors
The Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprise board of directors welcomes three new members: City Councilman Erskine Ogelsby, Jr.; Steve Hunt from realty asset company Berry & Hunt; and Andrea Glass from medical device manufacturing.
Oglesby is the city council’s vice-chairman for 2018-2019 and chair of the council’s Legislative Review Committee. He’s worked for the United Way of Greater Chattanooga; the Southeast Tennessee Development District’s Tennessee Career Center and the Salvation Army.
Oglesby also spent 10 years in executive positions at the YMCA in Durham and Charlotte, Boston and Jackson, Mississippi.
Oglesby is also president of 100 Black Men of Chattanooga and treasurer of the 5th District of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. He is married to Chattanooga native Sheryl Oglesby. They have two children and three grandsons.
Since 1986, Hunt has focused on office building development and redevelopment, commercial real estate leasing, sales and property management. He’s currently serving on the board of the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, the Commercial Realtors Council of the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors and the Tennessee Association of Realtors Commercial Forms Committee.
Hunt is a current and founding board member of Emily’s Power for a Cure Foundation. He’s married to Kim Cannon Hunt. They have three sons.
Glass is the quality systems coordinator for Hollywog. She previously resided in Nashville, where she worked in scholarship and grant management in the educational services industry before moving back to Chattanooga in 2015. She attended the Middle Tennessee State University School of Business from 2005-2009 for her Bachelor of Business Administration in entrepreneurship.

CPD taps Tomas for PIO post
The Chattanooga Police Department welcomes Officer Trevor Tomas to the communications team. Tomas’ primary role as public information officer will be to support crime prevention messaging and incident response. He will also serve as the primary point of contact for police-related incidents and reports and will respond to crime or traffic incidents as deemed necessary by the department.
Tomas replaces former PIO Rob Simmons, who’s now working as an investigator in the CPD’s robbery unit.
Tomas has served Chattanooga for nearly five years as a neighborhood policing officer in the Adam North zone. Along with PIO duties, he will continue to serve as a member of the CPD’s Special Operations Response Team and as a crisis intervention team officer.
Tomas earned his undergraduate degree from Covenant College and master’s degree from Old Dominion University.
Erlanger Chairs of Excellence honored
Two Chattanooga State Community College nursing faculty members were recently recognized as Erlanger Chairs of Excellence for 2018-2019. Assistant Professor Dawn Steele was named Erlanger Nursing Chair of Excellence for Children and Assistant Professor Michele McCarthy received her second consecutive recognition as Erlanger Nursing Chair of Excellence for Adults.
The Erlanger Nursing Chairs of Excellence program was established by Erlanger through the Chattanooga State Foundation to recognize faculty excellence in nursing.
