Kathy Tucker, managing broker of Crye-Leike Realtors in Chattanooga, was installed as the 2019 president of Tennessee Realtors at the statewide association’s fall convention in Knoxville. She will serve as leader of Tennessee Realtors’ ten-member executive committee.

Tucker is a 40-year veteran of the real estate industry. She’s a member of Greater Chattanooga Realtors (formerly GCAR), where she has served as president (2004 and 2006), chair of the Governmental Affairs and Strategic Planning committees and MLS president.

Tucker was named GCAR’s 2004 Realtor of the Year. In 2015, she was honored with the association’s George Kangles Community/Citizenship Award. She’s a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors and the Certified Residential Specialists.

At the state level, Tucker’s leadership roles have included president-elect, secretary-treasurer, Division 3 vice president (East Tennessee), president of the Tennessee Real Estate Education Foundation, chair of the Professional Standards and Governmental Affairs committees, member of the Budget and Finance Committee and director since 2003.

Nationally, she has served as NAR director and as a member of the MLS Issues & Policies and Professional Standards committees.

Tucker is deeply engaged in her community, having served as a volunteer leader for Habitat for Humanity, the YMCA and United Way. She is a recipient of Crye-Leike’s Good Neighbor Award.

“I am humbled and honored to represent our 28,500 members as 2019 president,” Tucker says. “It’s an exciting time to serve in our industry, and I will work hard to earn and keep the trust and respect of our members across Tennessee in the year ahead. Together, we will continue to rise toward the top.”
