Autumn Witt Boyd Firm adds two attorneys after move

Chattanooga attorneys Michelle Coakley and Theresa Critchfield have joined the Autumn Witt Boyd Firm in serving clients locally and across the U.S.

Since graduating from law school in 1998, Coakley has advised growing businesses, pursuing their legal claims in court and helping them work through an array of contract and employment law issues.

Coakley graduated from Michigan State University and Wayne State University Law School in Detroit. She then joined Jaffe, Raitt, Heuer & Weiss, a large Detroit firm, where she eventually became a shareholder. In 2011, Coakley relocated to Chattanooga with her children and husband when he accepted a job opportunity in the city.

Coakley is licensed to practice in Michigan and Tennessee.

After years of working in large law firms in Chattanooga, Critchfield joined the AWB firm to help business owners grow and protect their companies. She focuses her legal practice on commercial, real estate and construction matters.

Critchfield graduated from Mercer University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in international business. She also earned her law degree at Mercer.

Critchfield is licensed to practice in Tennessee and Georgia.

The addition of Coakley and Critchfield caps a year of growth and change for the AWB firm. To date in 2018, the firm has graduated from the three-year INCubator program at the Business Development Center in April and moved into a new, larger office at 240 Forest Ave.

Located in the heart of Chattanooga’s North Shore, the AWB firm is now six strong, with paralegal Diane Charboneau, legal assistant Brooke Behar and sales and marketing assistant Sarah Cate Patten completing the team.

The AWB firm’s namesake, Autumn Witt Boyd, is an intellectual property lawyer specializing in legal strategies for digital businesses.
