Historian, tactician, admirer of the law, and advocate for the cause, Irving Younger embodied both the noblest aspects of the legal profession and the zealous application of its tools. “Evidence for Trial Lawyers” is one of his most cherished masterworks. Now lawyers in the Chattanooga area can experience this program, which has been re-mastered from the original recording and includes commentary by Steve Easton, Dean of the University of Wyoming College of Law, ensuring Younger’s instruction is matched to current rule and practice.
The program by the Chattanooga Bar Association will take place Wednesday, October 2 at the Walden Club, beginning with registration and a continental breakfast at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 3:45, with a break for lunch around noon. Those attending will earn 6.75 DUAL CLE credits approved for Tennessee. The cost is $225 for members of the CBA and $275 for non-members.
In a style reserved for the truly gifted, Younger employs wit and drama to integrate evidence from an academic body of work into an essential tool of your practice. He explores the Rules of Proof, the Four Categories of Evidence, the Best Evidence Rule, the Law of Evidence and Witnesses, and the Hearsay Rules and Exceptions.
“If you have the ability to laugh, you’ll laugh, and if you have the ability to learn, you’ll learn,” promotional materials from the Bar say. “This program has been a cornerstone of legal education for novices and seasoned veterans across several generations of American advocates. Don’t miss this opportunity to share a unique experience with your colleagues!”
