The Chattanooga Housing Authority (CHA) has appointed Ijeoma Ike as in-house legal counsel. In her role, she provides the organization with legal advice, counsel, and representation on a variety of legal matters.
“I’m happy to be in Chattanooga and am looking forward to helping further CHA’s mission of creating a strong, sustainable, and inclusive community,” said Ike.
A native of Nashville, Ike graduated summa cum laude from Fisk University in 2009, receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. At Fisk University, she also became a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Ike received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Mississippi College School of Law in 2012.
Prior to joining CHA, Ike was a staff attorney in the housing law unit of West Tennessee Legal Services in Jackson, Tenn.
“We’re very excited to have Ijeoma as the newest member of the CHA team,” said Betsy McCright executive director of CHA. “To have an attorney with her expertise combined with her understanding of the workings of housing authorities makes her perfect to meet our needs.”
